In Tiel a village close to my hometown, like that word, hosts a free festival every year. It’s called Appelpop and is organized at the same time as the fruitcorso. In the fruitcorso the little villages in the neighbourhood make wagons of papermache and fruit and then ride them around Tiel. Quite fun to watch though but it always attracts a lot of people so I can’t see anything, ever. But there also were mosaics, so pretty, one with bees it was to pretty.
So appelpop is for free and features a lot of great Dutch artists and a lot of my old school friends come there. Plenty of reasons to come. This year there were bands like Blof, Ilse the Lange, Van Velzen and Racoon.
As I was still at school on friday I couldn’t go then but I had agreed with my friend that we should go to Appelpop. So I go on the train from Middelburg that morning because the evening before I had a Chistmasbirthdayparty. Yes I know, you shouldn’t do that in september but it wasn’t my party, and it was fun. But I had to get up the next morning at half past 7 (moan). Then get the train at 9 so be at my first hometown at 20 past 11. Then go home and then go back to the station and get the train at 12.25 or something like that. Met my friend and we went walking around in Tiel and that was a lot of fun. Then we went to appelpop itself and I saw a lot of people I knew from high school so it was a lot of fun. I had a great time and it was fun to meet those people again cos I hadn’t seen most of them for at least a month or two. One of my friends decided that he was going to compete with another friend to who could give me the most hugs or something like that, really funny that was. Well eventually I went home cos the next day I had a reunion of my old theaterclub.
So next day, get up and go back to tiel again, we watched the movie of the show we performed like 1,5 years ago or something but it was a lot of fun, although not everyone was there. I had fun! Go back to were I live now that evening. Still miss those people. Well that took some time to write this post, but finished it so,
